Anyone reading this blog, knows how fiercely I oppose the Democrat’s candidate for President, Senator Obama. My opposition stems from his lack of any relevant experience, his dubious associations, his ideas as expressed in his two books, his flip/flops and his total unpreparedness for the toughest job in the world especially at a very dangerous time. Having said that, however, I am more than appalled at this news item:

Obama effigy found hanging from US Christian university campus tree

A life-size cardboard effigy of Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama was hung from a campus tree, suspended from a branch with fishing line around the neck, officials of a small Christian university said Wednesday.

George Fox University President Robin Baker said a custodian discovered the effigy early Tuesday and removed it.

“We will not tolerate such displays and condemn it in the strongest terms,” he said.

The hanging of the effigy around the neck is seen as racist symbolism as it harks back to lynchings of black men by white mobs, especially in the US South, decades ago.

Such racism has no place in America in the 21st century and the despicable hater(s) responsible for this act should, when found, be expelled from George Fox University and forced to publicly apologize for their actions. In fact, this disgusting act is reminiscent of something which should have been left to decompose in the trashbin of the far less than stellar history of past race relations in America. Alas, racial hatred is still alive and well in some people’s hearts. In fact, this very act will, no doubt, be ceased by the Obamanates to throw accusations of racism against anyone opposed to their candidate – even when some of those thoroughly opposed are themselves black.

Though I am absolutely enraged at the perpetrator(s) of this act, frankly, other than in the methodology there is little difference between the hanging in effigy of a black candidate and the epithets, the hatred, the lies, hurled by the Obaminates at Senator McCain and Sarah Palin. As I said in yesterday’s post: When one votes for any candidate (regardless of political stripe!) solely because of his/her color, his/her ethnicity or his/her religion, whether the candidate a white, black, yellow, or red skin candidate, then that individual is no better than any member of the KKK. The Obamanates do not perhaps burn crosses or hide their faces behind pointy white hoods, but the venom they spew against Senator McCain, the misogyny they exhibit against Governor Palin is just as despicable. Neither attitude has a place in America. Unfortunately, bigots of all kinds exist. Meanwhile, real issues are ignored. The MSM usually covers up or ignores any story that shows Senator Obama in a less than favorable light. It does, however, move with such alacrity in the myriad published stories (many of them debunked) against the McCain/Palin ticket, they most often forget to research or factcheck. The cadre of young, impressionable, unthinking followers Obama’s campaign hass amassed, acts with the same irrationality on every forum on the World Wide Web such as digg.com, The Huffington Post, the DailyKos, etc… Their methodology is very different from the effigy hangers their message of callous unthinking hate, however, is the same. Pity!

    Hatred versus Hatred | Freedom…

Whether hanging in effigy or the spreading of scurrilous lies, racism and misogyny are still alive. But… who displays this despicable traits the most?…

Thank you for a very fine, concise, readable item on race relations in this country. I agree with you on every point you made. Good job!

What makes the author believe that this Obama
effigy was the work of racist anti-Obamaites?
Just as many of the racist scribblings on college dormitory doors turned out to be done
by the agrieved minority personage themselves,
and just as the bulk of supposedly anti-muslim
graffiti and/or incidents also have turned out to be attention-grabbing stunts by members of that … particular orientation, so too, in all likelihood is this an incident staged by clever little leftist worm-eating scumbags. These phony
incidents are quite typical of their tactics, but
hanging effigies of African-Americans is extraordinarily atypical of conservatives, Republicans, and Christian college students.

Did you know that 27% of the Jewish population claims to support Obama. Deeply saddens me.
