The Merriam Webster Dictionary defines elite thus:

a: the choice part
b: the best of a class
c: the socially superior part of society
d: a group of persons who by virtue of position or education exercise much power or influence
e: a member of such an elite

Let’s analyze the following story, from a Colorado’s Face the State online in view of the above definition:

Democracy Alliance memo details Dem plan to “educate the idiots” and target minorities

October 1, 2008
Face The State Staff Report

In a confidential internal memorandum obtained by Face The State (PDF), the Colorado Democracy Alliance outlines a roster of “operatives” who worked for Democratic victory in the 2006 general election. The document outlines specific tasks for various members of the state’s liberal infrastructure, including a campaign to “educate the idiots,” assigned to the state’s AFL-CIO union. Among the operation’s intended targets: “minorities, GED’s, drop-outs.”

Notice the paragraph’s ending: Among the operation’s intended targets: “minorities, GED’s, drop-outs.” Now, gentle reader, why would you think these three groups are the main intended target? Could it be their vulnerability? Could it because drop-outs and GED’s have less education and are therefore more susceptible to Kremlin style re-education? And the lumping of minorities with the less educated, less intelligent elements of society is that not blatant racism, especially when the proponents of this plan claim the mantle of defending the very same civil rights they’ve been caught trampling on?!?!?!?

Individuals named in the document, marked “CONFIDENTIAL,” “for internal use only,” and “DO NOT DISTRIBUTE,” are high-level elected Democrats including House Speaker Andrew Romanoff, former Senate President Joan Fitz-Gerald, as well as Gov. Bill Ritter’s press aide and former campaign chief Evan Dreyer. All are specially marked as “off-the-record or covert.”

Mentioned as a “critical contact” was Dominic DelPapa, a partner at Ikon Public Affairs. DelPapa was at the center of recent controversy stemming from the February leak of a confidential memo he authored detailing a multi-million dollar “foot on throat” attack on Republican U.S. Senate candidate Bob Schaffer, among others.

CoDA is one of 18 state-based versions of the nationally focused Democracy Alliance, a self-described “investment partnership of business and philanthropic leaders” funding liberal infrastructure nationwide. For more information about the Democracy Alliance in Colorado, see day one and two of Face The State’s week-long series on the group.

Why should it be “off the record” to send a memo to educate the public? It would have seemed to me that educating the public would be a laudable effort worthy of public support and openess of purpose. Don’t you agree, gentle reader? Obviously educating the public is not the intended purpose, rather obfuscating the truth, suppression of free discussions of issues while presenting a revisionist, partisan agenda is the intended purpose!!!

In a podcast released by the DNC Host Committee Tuesday, national Democracy Alliance founder Rob Stein explains the need for large, secretive donor networks. “We do not have the infrastructure that the right has built, yet,” he said. “But there has never in the history of progressivedom (sic) been a clearer, more strategic, more focused, more disciplined, better financed group of institutions operating at the state and national level.”

We do not have the infrastructure that the right has built, yet. Strange, but the right never had the wherewithal of Geoge Soros’ billions, the unmitigated gall, the blatant lying shown in the likes of MoveOn.org (financed by George Soros), The DailyKos and The Huffington Post, among others. What Rob Stein, actually means is that in spite of all the hundreds of millions the progressives have poured into their re-education efforts, the population at large has resisted them as the progressives’ lies and blatant ignorance of the forces of history are all too transparent.

In the same podcast, Laurie Hirschfeld Zeller, the newly installed executive director of CoDA, explains her organization’s mission. “Our job is to build a long-term progressive infrastructure in Colorado while we’re conceding nothing in the short term in terms of progressive goals at the ballot box.”

Zeller had high praise for the state’s liberal establishment, specifically naming America Votes, New Era Colorado, Progressive Majority, the Latina Initiative, and ProgressNow as partners in CoDA’s coalition building efforts. “CoDA works with all these organizations,” she said.

Some of the above named organizations have no interest in citizen’s rights, they merely interested in advancing their own already bankrupt set of malevolent ideas that will set this country back to the darkest days of our history, albeit under the newer, more sophisticated, “enlightened” face of a nefarious elite.

The Bell Policy Center, a liberal think tank involved with CoDA, was praised for its work fighting to dismantle Colorado’s Taxpayer’s Bill of Rights. She characterized Colorado’s constitutional requirement for voter approval of tax increases as “arcane.”

America’s Revolutionary War against Britain came as a result of King George III taxing the colonies at his whim. “No taxation without representation” was the battle cry that started the Revolution and provided the impetus, the life line, for its success. Yet CoDA and its associates would have this country regress in time, they would destroy its hard earned freedoms and bring us back to colonial times… albeit under the newer, more sophisticated, “enlightened” face of a nefarious elite.

According to Zeller, CoDA operates “in a structure that provides privacy to members.” Under current law, this structure is as a taxable non-profit organization that allows individual donors to give anonymously to shared causes. She described the structure as a “fiscal irrigation system” designed to “provide a harvest later this fall.”

Stein, the DA founder, said state groups like CoDA have fired “a warning shot to conservatives in America.”

“Conservatives have nothing comparable to possibly compete with it, and they better watch out,” he said. Colorado was chosen as a test case for exporting DA’s national model, due in part to the “significant wealth” of liberal donors living here.

Conservatives have nothing comparable to possibly compete with it I’m confused! Stein has already said above: We do not have the infrastructure that the right has built, yet?!?!?!? So which one is it? Was he lying above or is he bragging now? Does Mr. Stein, as the self proclaimed feudal lord of Democracy Alliance, think of his underlings as personal serfs or perhaps, or maybe as his… “idiots?!?!?!?”

“It’s not just individual donors,” Zeller said of CoDA’s financial underwriting. “One of the things that has been crucial in making the work of the Colorado Democracy Alliance effective in Colorado has been our partnership with institutional donors and activist organizations in labor, particularly,” she said. “That’s been a major part of how we get our work done here.”

According to Zeller, CoDA’s giving is concentrated in five general funding categories: leadership development, communications, “research and ideas,” “civic engagement” and “constituency development.”

“Research and ideas,” “civic engagement” and “constituency development.” These phrases are so much like euphemisms for re-education, it is scary…

“We embrace the ‘progressive’ label in our giving and the strategic role we play in Colorado politics,” she said.

Despite sweeping gains for political liberals both in Colorado and nationally, Stein believes his coalition can do a better job of communicating with voters.

“It feels scary, because we don’t have the message down right,” he said. “[But] We’re being more businesslike – we’re being more professional.”

“…We don’t have the message down right…”
I guess even when you are targeting the unwashed, uneducated masses, when you target the minorities, and all the above named “idiots” you need more than high sounding meaningless slogans before you can reeducate them!

There is nothing even mildly progressive about political groups that would take us back to colonial times… albeit under the newer, more sophisticated, “enlightened” face of a nefarious elite.

There is nothing even mildly progressive about groups that willingly and malevolently ignore historical truths and rewrite them to fit an agenda that would take us back to a new feudal age… albeit under the newer, more sophisticated, “enlightened” face of a nefarious elite.

There is nothing even mildly progressive about groups that would strip away our freedoms, one by one, in order to entrench themselves and those in their immediate clique as the new ruling class… albeit under the newer, more sophisticated, “enlightened” face of a nefarious elite.

There is nothing even mildly progressive about groups that combine the worst, most reactionary aspects of movements discredited by history and the blood of every freedom loving person since time immemorial; there is nothing progressive about groups which (though certainly far more inclusive) act as the true political heirs of a combined Stalinism and the National Socialist German Workers Party, to turn history back to its darkest hour… albeit under the newer, more sophisticated, “enlightened” face of a nefarious elite.

Starting as a high school senior, continuing throughout university and a few years after, I proudly sported the label “liberal.” I can tell you that these so called progressives represent the very fascism, true liberals always stood up against!!!

Who elected these people as the new elite? Just as serfs had little choice of feudal lords, these political overlords want to deny us all our freedoms and extend them only to their own selves and their “superior” elite clique.

This November let us hand them an overwhelming defeat that will make it obvious we will not stand idly by as the clock regresses. Let us stand up for true progress by showing them their charade, will not fool us! But, gentle reader, even as we do defeat them we must be ever on guard, for they will be back. The price of freedom is eternal vigilance against anyone – regardless of what political stripe they choose to wear – who would deny your rights and mine.

…it has gotten to the point where these terrible facts don’t surprise me…but far worse is the fact that there are plenty of average folks out there and very busy folks…that are being deceived out there because of this unprecendented media bias…it is never ending and the obama people use it “well”…I have moved and travelled a lot and when a bright educated friend who has been strongly pro life since I can remember doesn’t know obama’s clearly far left stand on the issue I have to wonder what they have done “right” to create that level of error in people…another friend who owns his own business, works very long days and has always been very conservative calls and says he is surprised McCain picked such a weak person for the VP spot…I realize obama and the media have done something “effectively”…I am honestly surprised over 40% of the population is pro McCain considering the mass deception that is going on out there…and I would estimate if the people really knew who obama is and what he represents then it would be well over 60% pro McCain..,

..the polls started changing towards obama when he started the real attack ads before the financial crises got hot…people who don’t have much time and are swing voters begin to think “oh let’s try a new guy”…then obama who would cares little about the economy or the country goes out and hammers that the crises is all Bush’s fault…this before the package has been voted for…Bush actually tried to put the brakes on the democrats who were pushing the economy to this point…the media doesn’t highlight this..and McCain stays quiet(I suspect to be non partisan till the vote goes through)

..the end does not justify the means but McCain Palin are going to have to “fight back” …figure out ways to force the media to cover the facts..there are at least 10 major reasons why people do not want an obama presidency..they have to get that out there in the next 30 days..

ps targeting people who haven’t graduated from high school…that is so low and elitest too…same people they hurt when they said they were going to get them affordable housing then put them in a house and into personal bankrupcy

What is even more appalling… but I guess the advertising & marketing world are fine with it… is the sheer number of people who do not THINK FOR THEMSELVES. Also, those who are susceptible to the NLP and mind control that the Obama Camp is using on people… such as continually trying to tie McCain to the last 8 years of Bush when McCain CLEARLY stated he has had many disagreements with Bush over policy, etc.

It’s sickening… just sickening how in the tank for Obama the MSM is.
