The good Senator from Illinois’ followers insist that the only possible reason someone would refuse to vote for Senator Barack Obama to become the new US President is blatant racism. They are wrong! Personally I find his lack of solutions to any of this country’s ailments, his lack of experience in spite of the beautiful titles his résumé sports, his controversial (if not downright criminal) associations, his lack of any qualifying achievement preclude any rational thinking person from voting for him. For being rational, however, the good Senator’s irrational defenders will label me “racist.” I could with a many a reasoned argument show the stupidity of their words, the flawed thinking behind this accusation… but I think a black person articulating the very same reservations I have, would be far more effective.

On the ZoNation blog I saw the following video:

Who is Zo, you ask?

My Photo

Zo
I’m a musician; A drummer, guitarist, and bassist. I’m a martial artist. My objective is to be a career entertainer. I’m a Christian, conservative republican patriot. I love kickin’ it with my wife. She’s never lackin’ for conversation, and laughs. I’m a sci-fi nerd, dork, whatever you wanna call it, I dig it fo’ real!

Zo, fearlessly exposes the double standard of the Obamabots and, as you see… he is black! Is he a racist too? No, he simply did not accept the lack of any credible evidence that Senator Obama is in any way, shape or form, qualified to be president of this United of America. Zo simply refused to drink the koolaid! Because America’s major problems are neither black, nor white, nor blue, nor red. No, gentle reader, America’s major problems equally affect every single inhabitant of this country regardless of skin color, regardless of faith, regardless of ethnicity. To suggest that opposition to Senator Obama is merely racism is an idiotic trivialization of real bigotry and itself is a somewhat bigoted argument. I am glad Zo made this video, I commend him for his courage! I’d love to see how the Obamabots will answer Zo and the thousands of blacks who prefer to think rather than blindly follow the crowd while accusing of racism those who refuse to follow. No doubt, they will try to take this video off youtube.com. It seems to be their weapon of choice when they have no valid, intelligent argument; their weapon of choice when they have nothing but their rage or their shame with which to counter.

Any white person who doesn’t vote for Obama is a racist. Any white man who disagrees with a black man about anything is a racist. Blacks are better than whites. Equality is the new racism.

cuts both ways there ol Tom Any black person who votes for Obama is a racist as much as you claim a white voting for McCain is one. You know what the problem is here, ol Tom, is that everything that you don’t like, well, you just call it racist. That is a lame attempt to neutralize the arguement. But in fact, it just make the point of the arguement even stronger. It also points out the narrow-mindedness of you and the others who can’t win an arguement based on facts.

It’s simply a matter of insisting on intelligent and probing debate. Knowing your values, essential issues, and pressing other people to clarify theirs.
