It Isn’t Just for 007 Anymore…

James Bond always has some pretty nifty gadgets, weapons and technology at his disposal when fighting the bad guys. Now, as was shown in Mumbai, there are some very sophisticated tools being applied to fighting terrorists.

The German site Kopp Verlag (H/T: Augusto at Nueva Europa) reports that the standoff in Mumbai between heavily armed, ruthless terrorists and the Indian Security forces ended with the help of brand new Israeli technology. Below is a video of how the technology works:

According to Kopp Verlag this technology was used at the Taj Mahal hotel to find rooms where terrorists were holed up. The Camero Xaver™400 is a lighter, more compact, version of its bigger brother the Xaver™800. It seems like an invaluable tool for police, military and fire fighting personnel.

The Xaver™400, which was used in Mumbay, can see through reinforced concrete and steel for a distance of 8 meters, while Xaver™800 can see up to 20 meters. This may seem the stuff of science fiction but it is a tool available today!

With technological advances like this, the world may yet become a better place, for all of us, as they make it harder for terror to continue its murderous spree, as law enforcement agencies look to rescue victims. It is the type of technology that saves lives! Research of this type should be highly encouraged by the governments of every nation, if they really mean to safeguard those they govern. Crime and terror, may never be fully eradicated but we can seriously reduce it!

Camero and other companies developing security technology should be commended and supported in their efforts to take a bite out of terror and crime. This blog does not normally cover gadgets, we leave that for blogs dedicated to technology. This time, however, in view of the horrible events from last week I can not refrain from mentioning and praising its life saving capabilities.

I can only hope that as research advances, such equipment will become a standard part of life saving missions for all police, fire-fighters, and military operations. Science and technology, have the power to save lives and the power to destroy it. It is my my fervent hope that further research should bring us further advancements, more gadgetry that will protect the innocent and be instrumental in destroying those who engage in terror and crime.

Like you said, we may actually get past this age of terrorism and we will win. When I see what the terrorists have “accomplished,” I see how these cowards have operated. First they attack people who aren’t prepared, which is what cowards do. They make sure to hurt and kill people who can’t fight back, proving again how terrorists are cowards. Then they make big video shows of their perverted violence but they do it by sneaking videos into an organization or newspaper or website. The videos are ALWAYS sneaked in, again showing how they are frightened, gutless chickens.
But then, after showing the world how cowardly they are, they call themselves heroes and martyrs, thinking that we are all dumb and stupid! They actually think that we will think they are brave, just because they call themselves brave. Some of their Imams teach them that ala wants them to kill and hate people.
The Israelis are not just talkers like bin Laden and the other twit, fool, bum, rotting piece of pig flesh known as Abu Musab al Zarqawi, who is currently looking for center stage attention for his ever expanding ego.
The Israelis have actually built counter terrorist machines and weapons. They are exactly the opposite, they are trying to stop the violence, not start it.
We all know that more Moslems have been murdered by these “brave” terrorists than all the Moslems killed by the Jewish people, the U.S.A., England, France, Spain, Australia and all the other members of the coalition COMBINED!!!
While they continue to slaughter their own people every day, they call us the reason. They are buying the guns paying off theimams, selling the drugs, paying off the killers’ families, blowing up the people, bombing supermarkets and train stations, and night clubs and hotels and synagogues and churches and killing Christians, and Jews and Buddhists al over the world, but they say we are the fault. Then they slap bumber stickers on their cars saying ISLAM: Love for all. Yeah, right.
