Americans are NOT Stupid

For over two centuries Americans proudly led the planet in inventiveness, in scientific discoveries, in industrial growth. Our schools were envied throughout the world and studying over on these shores was a symbol of international prestige. That was, however, before our educational system was watered down to accommodate those that did not measure up; that was before it became an “educational necessity” to pass everyone no matter what, lest the student’s self esteem be hurt…

As a result, studying hard was no longer as important. Kids could come up with better things to do with their time! Parents, in the interest of a good “relationship,” became their children’s friends and equals. The advances made in science and technology, all too often suddenly were discovered in other countries, albeit usually paid for by American capital.

Our educational system has gone through such idiotic steps as “creative spelling” where high marks were given for the most inventive way to spell words, rather than spelling them as they are supposed to be spelled. History and geography became integrated into “social studies” rather than continue being taught as separate disciplines. The old dictum that whoever doesn’t learn from history is bound to repeat it proved itself over and over again with a couple of generations that were never taught history, geography and other disciplines in any meaningful way, etc., etc. As one listens to the average kid in high school every sentence is liberally peppered with too many instances of the F word. If that word were too suddenly disappear I’m afraid our language would have to be reinvented anew, for these kids would never be able to speak a coherent sentence otherwise.

I found the following video on youtube (H/T: The Sudanese Thinker), it is hilarious but it gave me no reason to laugh. The ignorance of the average American on the street explains the choices of recent elections. America no longer thinks, no longer analyzes, it’s too hard! They haven’t been taught to think, instead they’ve been indoctrinated by “teachers” with political agendas. Teaching the three “Rs,” teaching students how to think has been supplanted with platitudes and political slogans. The terrible result of this tragic lapse in education is that the average American will, like a sheep, blindly follow pseudo intellectuals bought and paid for by the real enemies of our great nation, like fools they are not ashamed to show off their ignorance and think it funny…

Americans are NOT stupid, but if you watch the above video, if you listen in on the average conversation going on on the street around you you start wondering at what point did the dumbing down of America start? Pity!
