Nigeria: Thirteen-year-old forced to watch Pastor hacked to death in Boko Haram deadly violence 05/08/2009

A thirteen-year-old Nigerian Christian has told Christian Solidarity Worldwide (CSW) sources how she was forced to watch her pastor’s murder, and has also spoken of her four-day ordeal as a prisoner in the besieged compound of Islamist group, Boko Haram.

On 26 July, Mary was in church with her pastor, his brother and an older Christian woman when a group of fifty militants broke in. She and her pastor hid as the group killed the pastor’s brother and dragged the older woman out of the room. On discovering their hiding place, the militants cut off her pastor’s hand to stop him holding on to her, then hacked him to death with machetes before setting him on fire.

The girl and the woman were dragged to Boko Haram’s compound in Maiduguri’s Railway district, and were placed in a room with around 100 other Christian women and girls. They were all asked to renounce their faith or face continued imprisonment, while Christian men were given the choice of renouncing their faith or dying.

Mary vividly describes how she was forced to wash the blood stained clothing of Boko Haram fighters. She was in the camp for four days, but managed to escape with a few others when military forces intensified their attack on the compound.

Mary’s pastor was one of three Christian ministers targeted and killed by Boko Haram during last week’s violence. Photographs showing the corpse of one murdered pastor from the Church of Christ in Nigeria, Rev Sabo Yakubu, indicate that his heart may have been ripped out.

Such is the religion of peace

Yes, gentle reader, such is the religion of peace… Another vicious example of love and peace by practitioners of Islam was published yesterday, not in the MSM… no, they are only interested in all the news that’s fit to print (a commenter in another forum recently pointed out to me they really only bother with all the news that’s print to fit!). This was published on August 4th, by Christian Solidarity Worldwide:

Christian Solidarity Worldwide (CSW) strongly condemns Islamist violence against Christians in Pakistan’s Punjab province, which left seven dead and at least 100 houses destroyed between 30 July and 2 August. CSW is urging the Pakistani government to act “quickly and strongly” to bring about justice and peace.

Seven Christians were killed in Gojra town, on 1 August, during riots which have rocked Pakistan. The attacks were propelled by Islamist militants, suspected to include members of the banned group, Sipah-e-Sahaba.

The riots followed an arson attack on houses belonging to Christians on 30 July in Korian village, near Gojra town, in which over 50 houses were destroyed. The attacking mob blocked the road, preventing access for police and the fire brigade, and clashed violently with police officers.

Police were criticised by prominent Christians for their slow response and for failing to pre-empt the second wave of violence, but have since arrested a number of extremists in connection with the attacks.

Of course after these preventable attacks were carried out, after they achieved their goal… the police (Muslims also) suddenly woke up and arrested a number of extremists in connection with the attacks. Commendable, truly commendable…

The original attack in Korian village followed an allegation that Christians desecrated a Qur’an, which government authorities have confirmed as spurious. According to Compass Direct News, the allegation followed a minor dispute between a Christian wedding party and a Muslim funeral, and other sources report that it was resolved by local community leaders.

Group Captain (Rtd) Cecil Chaudhry, Executive Secretary of the All Pakistan Minorities Alliance (APMA), said: “These attacks are deplorable, and the later violence in Gojra should have been foreseen and forestalled by the local authorities. That they failed to do so makes it all the more important for the police bring the perpetrators of the violence to justice. They must especially bring the extremists who instigated these and other attacks to trial under the Anti-Terrorism Act”.

Lest you think these are merely isolated cases, however deplorable, watch below this video from Lebanon. They mince no words as to their true plans…

Crackpots? Fanatics? Meaningless, empty words? Apparently some militant groups do take ithem seriously. And so does Obama’s administration:

There are growing fears that a radical Islamic group from Somalia is preparing to export its own brand of jihad abroad. Al-Shabaab, which is affiliated to al-Qaeda, will be top of the agenda in talks between US Secretary of State Hilary Clinton and Somalia’s President Sheikh Sharif Ahmed in Nairobi, Kenya.

The meeting on the fringes of the US/Sub-Saharan Africa Trade and Economic Cooperation Forum (AGOA) is seen as significant. Until now Somalia’s troubles have been dismissed as those of a failed state. But revelations this week in a court in Australia show that al-Shabaab is threatening to target the West. Five men are on trial accused of planning a suicide attack on an army barracks in Sydney.

Last week, four Dutchmen were arrested in Kenya on suspicion that they were heading for an al-Shabaab training camp in Somalia.

Jihad re-exported

Somalia expert Rashid Abdi from the International Crisis Group says:
“This makes a clear escalation or a radical shift in policy. Initially what happened was that al-Shabaab recruiters would go to some of these Somali communities in North America, Europe and Australia. They would recruit youngsters to join the jihad in Somalia, but apparently now the jihad is being re-exported back. So it is a sort of internationalisation of the Somalia conflict.”

Earlier this year the US secret service investigated a plot linked to al-Shabaab that targeted President Barack Obama’s inauguration ceremony in Washington in January.

Recruitment campaign

Al Shabaab has been conducting an international recruitment campaign backed by Al-Qaeda’s propaganda network. It wants fighters to help the group take power in Somalia and impose strict Islamic rule.

Western officials are worried that the chaos in Somalia resembles Afghanistan in the 1990s from where militants planned attacks on the West. Al Shabaab now controls most of southern and central Somalia.

Rashid Abdi from the International Crisis Group says:
“I think primarily the Americans are anxious and worried about the implications of a radical Somalia and the possibility of terrorism and destabilisation for its regional allies, principally Kenya. America sees itself as engaged in a struggle to contain or neutralise these radical islamist groups in Somalia and elsewhere. And I think they will see that as a legitimate part of their national security interest.”

If you think that all is peachy keen, here in the West, almost daily there are reports in Europe of hate being spewed by Islamic Imams, almost daily the multiculturalists ignore or explain it away. Is the West so cowed? Are our politicos so blind, so deaf, they neither see nor hear? Frankly, I have no doubt that blindness and deafness is rather a selective one. You can be sure that if a Rabbi or a Christian priest, minister, would spew such venom against Islam they would immediately be publicly taken to task by the MSM and rightfully fired from their positions! Why then the tolerance for those who see their religion as a political weapon? Shame on the Western leaders whose silence is so deafening! Shame on NGO’s who choose to ignore any anti-Western violence, (or any religious intolerance) and any violation of Human rights committed by non-westerners. Where is the outrage?!?!? Why no general outcry?!?!?

I have no doubt I’ll be accused of racism (though Islam is NOT a race!). I have no doubt I’ll be called a fearmonger by the liberal multicultural clique. Both accusations are wrong, anyone who has followed my posts knows it! However considering the source of such epithets, considering the source’s self inflicted blindness and lack of coherent thought in spite of all the evidence they are presented with… those epithets and others like them stemming from dhimmified fools, will become my proud badges of honor!
