Since this past Monday morning, I’ve been in Richmond, VA, visiting an old uncle undergoing an operation. I’ve had no internet access until today, hence this blog has not been updated since last Sunday. I apologize for that, there was a lot I wanted to post about… :(

People are truly friendly here and, as a New Yorker, I find it very refreshing when a stranger suddenly greets you with genuine interest and you do not even get nervous wondering what evil may lurk in his heart. Being from Brooklyn, it almost feels like I’m in a different planet. Oh, and the drivers… I love it!

Having said that, however, I suddenly had a reminder that even in this idyllic place there are some bigoted subhumans. As I left the hospital this morning, at around 8:05am, on my way to morning prayers at a nearby synagogue and was turning from Forest Avenue into Three Chopt Road I was greeted with a thunderous, Ytbakh al-Yahood! – Kill the Jew! emanating from a car waiting at the light and going in the opposite direction on Three Chopt. No doubt my very obvious Jewish looks attracted such fine sentiments. Of course, I felt obligated to thank the humanoid creature and answered him with by answering in the same vein, birket Allah – Blessings of Allah! which actually means the exact opposite of its literal translation… at least so when it comes from an infidel…

I must admit I was not expecting such lovely language in Richmond, even if it once was the capital of the Confederacy. As a result, I must ponder if the South has risen again… Has the KKK suddenly converted from their perverted version of Christianity to an even more perverted Islam? Will they now burn Crescents instead of Crosses?!?!?!?

Frankly, I do not know if the cretin who expressed himself so eloquently even lives in Richmond or not, but I can assure you he stands against much more than just the Jews. Wherever he may live, his sentiments have no place in the good old US of A. He and those his ilk should be sent back to the the hellhole from whence he came! I am sure, however, that CAIR, ICNA, ISNAm the Islamic Society of America and other “unindicted co-conspirators”, will label me prejudiced for having expressed my opinion. What do you think, gentle reader?

Chaim
