Foolish Arrogance

Every political campaign brings with it show after show where each candidate promises real change. If the candidate is from the incumbent’s party he will praise the policies that work while promising to refine or discard those that are less than successful. If the candidate is from the opposition party he’ll represent himself as the new kid with the fresh ideas to get us out of current stagnation. That is expected, as these shows have become a time hollowed tradition.

One of the biggest issues affecting the US, currently, is the high price of gasoline. While the price on our American shores is not anywhere near as high as it is in Europe, it still represents a major expense that has impacted our daily life. The Republicans are pushing for oil drilling both in Alaska’s ANWR region and offshore. This makes sense as it will not decrease America’s dependence on foreign oil. It also will significantly reduce the income of despotic Arab regimes which pocket the money in foreign accounts without benefiting their local populations. More importantly yet, it will also largely reduce the money flowing into terrorist organizations kept at bey by the protection money some of this despots pay out.

So why would the Democrat controlled Congress be so keen in stopping oil exploration? True, results from drilling will not result in price reductions tomorrow, this year, or even over the next five years. The later we start, however, the longer we depend on countries which capriciously can turn the oil spigots on or off (as they’ve done before. Remember the 70s?!?!?!?) the longer we are held hostage by their price cartel!

The Democrats however, knowing full well that their fellow Americans vote is often guided by their pocket, are cynically and criminally attempting to mold public opinion against a President and his party whose low popularity is still higher than that of the Democrat led Congress. They are doing these to divert attention and scrutiny away from the moral and intellectual emptiness of their very photogenic candidate.

In the video linked below, first term Senator Barack Obama, is lecturing the audience by saying that if they get regular tuneups and keep the tires at the proper inflation they’ll save just as much as if we drilled here in America… Such deceit, gentle reader, such an arrogant display of contempt for the voter’s intelligence, such idiocy publicly displayed by a presidential candidate is unforgivable. Such behaviour should not be rewarded! If this is how the good Senator from Illinois acts before becoming President (although in his mind, he already is!), imagine the arrogance he’ll display as a crowned emperor president.

Sen. Barack Obama’s answer to meeting energy demands:

His words are not just those of an inexperienced politician, not just the words of someone who is incapable of grasping the true magnitude of the problem, not just the words of someone who talks down to his prospective voters. No those are the words of someone who offers mere platitudes instead of lasting solutions. Pity!

Btw, Chaim — looks like Obama’s Sheeple are finally busted:

If Barky is such a wonderful, moral, ethical, messianic, regular guy-who-will-save-us-all… then why do the Obamabots need to be spamming and/or taking down any blogspot blogs that speak truth to his ‘presumptive’ power?

That’s rhetorical, Chaim — We know the answer to that!
